SHENTU: Memories of Spring by Allen Wu

My contributed work is published in the 2025 successfully funded Kickstarter.

Shentu: Memories of Spring is a 70+ page anthology by Allen Wu, chronicling stories of the immortal rabbit girl Shentu and her human apprentice Xiaohou. As they plod onward in their journey of a lifetime, this collection centers around springtime in ancient China, celebrating both the season and the springtime of youth. 

Each of the 8 short comics depicts a self-contained story, weaving between the emotional highs and lows of Xiaohou's childhood. Each story takes place in the springtime of a successive year, thus following Xiaohou's growth from a wide-eyed boy into an independent teen.

CHENNY XIAO AND THE LOTUS LIGHTSTICK

CHENNY XIAO AND THE LOTUS LIGHTSTICK is a middle grade fantasy adventure and a contemporary graphic novel retelling of the Chinese folktale “The Magic Lotus Lantern” with themes of belonging, family, and finding your self-worth.

Struggling to get by with her single father in Flushing, New York, all twelve-year-old Chenny Xiao wants is to get a chance to meet the rest of her family, and maybe make a real friend for once. But when she inherits her mother’s mystical Lotus Lightstick and discovers she’s a demigod, she quickly finds herself being hounded by a mysterious war god uncle she never knew she had! With evil yāoguài hot on her heels hunting for her demigod flesh, Chenny must learn to trust her new friends and find the brightest power within herself to bridge the gap between her mortal and godly families.

The fates of two children—one, a child of the grasslands and the other, the human vessel of a deity—become bound as an ancient calamity reawakens.

The Blue Childe tells the story of two parallel journeys: of Mena, a young steppe girl who dreams of becoming a Sānbi, magical priest warriors who protect the lands and the human avatar of their god, the Blue Childe—and of the avatar himself, as he struggles against the demonic temptation of a forgotten god.

DAIMO is an urban fantasy webcomic, published in Webcomics App as "Editor's Pick" and shortlisted for Mangatoon’s 13th Supernova Awards 2019 overseas comic contest.
