About
I'm Jennifer Liu and often go by as Teroti online.
Why, you might ask? Good question! I made up that name when I was thirteen (for a pet sim game no less), and the name just stuck. I am an author-illustrator and game writer who lives in Queens, New York. When I’m not busy working and taking care of my zestful dog and elderly cat with my family, I like to participate in the Horse Art RPG community on DeviantArt and go riding at my local stable. I grew up in an eclectic home library of culture, history, and fantasy (my background lies in Asian and Asian American Studies) — which I often intertwine into my stories and art.
I am the creator of online graphic novel The Blue Childe, the published webcomic DAIMO (shortlisted for Mangatoon’s 13th Supernova Awards in 2019), and the short comic A Thousand Drops of Rain. As with most self-published works, my comic beginnings are quite humble — the comics road is never-ending. I’m a member of Kids Comics Unite, Asians in Animation, and am an alumni mentor of Girls Write Now. Currently, I’m excited to be working on a YA Edwardian murder mystery graphic novel pitch!
As a writer, I wrote an article, worked for webnovel platforms, freelanced editing, and write for interactive novel mobile games.
